Inland Empire Water Safety Challenge

The Inland Empire Drowning Task Force in partnership with Stop Drowning Now is pleased to announce the 2024 Water Safety Challenge! Water Safety Challenges will be hosted at various IE cities on Saturday, May 18, 2024 and June 1 2024.

Please Join our community leaders in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties by supporting drowning prevention and water safety education, exciting events like the Water Safety Challenge that are a wonderful way to create awareness and support learning.

Children, parents, and family members will participate in a series of water safety education stations. The challenge will hosted by local task force members who will engage in safety activities and demonstrations. In addition, participants can join community partner groups to learn CPR and other safety tips to keep their families safer around water.

The Water Safety Challenge was developed by Stop Drowning Now and is a fun, interactive, and comprehensive water safety day designed to teach children and parents important water safety skills: how to do a safe water rescue, how to properly use life vests, and how to swim to the side. Participating also helps parents identify their child’s particular strengths and weaknesses in the pool.

Be sure to check your nearest participating location for their scheduled event time and location specific details.
